Play Smart, Stay Safe.
At Parafield Studios, we want you to enjoy our games for years to come. That starts with taking care of yourself. Please read this information carefully before using our software.
A very small percentage of people may experience a seizure when exposed to certain visual images, including flashing lights or patterns that may appear in video games. Even people who have no history of seizures or epilepsy may have an undiagnosed condition that can cause these "photosensitive epileptic seizures" while watching video games.
Symptoms may include: lightheadedness, altered vision, eye or face twitching, jerking or shaking of arms or legs, disorientation, confusion, or momentary loss of awareness.
IMMEDIATELY stop playing and consult a doctor if you experience any of these symptoms.
General Health Recommendations
- Take Breaks: We recommend taking a 15-minute break for every hour of play, even if you don't think you need it.
- Lighting: Play in a well-lit room and stay as far from the screen as reasonably possible.
- Listen to your body: If you feel tired, dizzy, or have strained eyes, stop playing immediately and rest.
- Repetitive Motion: Playing video games can make your muscles, joints, or skin hurt. If you feel any pain or numbness, stop playing and rest for several hours before playing again.
Mental Wellbeing
Gaming should be fun, not stressful. If you find yourself becoming frustrated or angry, it's time to step away. Our community spaces are meant to be welcoming; if you're feeling overwhelmed by online interactions, don't hesitate to mute, block, or take a digital detox.
Hearing Safety
Avoid listening to our games at extremely high volume levels for long periods, as this can lead to permanent hearing loss. Use your hardware's volume limiters if available.
We care way more about people's safety than our stupid games that we make.
